 Three Leaders that I admire the most

Everyone knows Barack Obama. He served as the first African-American president of USA. Born and brought up in tough conditions, he became the perfect example of what every human needs to hear for strong inspiration. There had been many presidents of United States before and after him, but certain skills that makes him best of the best are his public speaking, art of global leadership, ability to build an effective team, present the ideas fluently and make quick decisons.

His goals and vision are not enough to explain over a piece of paper. Therefore, some of the characteristics that made Barack Obama a brilliant leader of the modern times and my all time favourite are:

1. Collaboration and Inclusiveness: He is the name among many leaders who gives the credit of his success to others and believes in bringing people together for success. He actively says that "being inclusive is an important part of his decision making process".

2. "Yes We Can" Mindset : Even though from his earliest of the days, his life was full of struggles. He has a positive mindset that shows how his resilience and mental toughness designed him to accept difficult of difficult challenges, and the best thing is the ability to take decisions during these times.

3. Clear Vision: Very few people actually have a clear vision, Obama is one of the very few leaders who does not speak a scripted language to inspire people. On the contrary, he believes to address true emotions to illustrate the truth. Speaking the truth and having a true faith in unity is what makes Mr. Obama a curious leader and describes his true clear vision.

Overall to mention, Mr. Obama has the ability in the truest sense to inspire and empower millions and millions of people and trigger a strong purpose in them.

Elon Musk

If we mention entrepreneurs and elon musk does not top that list, it is impossible. Entrepreneurs are the future of this planet and he has proven it many times. His message and a little different terms on leadership makes him one of the most versatile leader alive. Leadership is not limited to making long speeches and present our extroverted instinct in front of others. Leadership has a strong connection with a person's intellect and the contribution a person is making in this world.

Here are sone of the characteristics that I believe makes Elon musk the most prominent leader of 21st century:

1. Thinking on first principles: Mr. Musk is an active example of what real success is and it is not having a lot of money, fame and achievements. But in fact, it is how we unlock our true potential?

Do we think correctly? Are we providing this world what it actually needs?. Because, money and stardom are temporary in nature, the thing which remains permanent is ideology. He has taught the world that nothing is impossible!

2. Continous learning and being meaningful: I believe most of the people when they graduate and start working, they stop to learn. But in his leadership, Elon decribes that reading on different norms actually gives us the power to become a helpful person for the others. Today, everyone needs a person who generates an unalterable value and becoming a life-long learner gives us the freedom to choose how we can serve this world as a human.

3. Set the targets which are impossible: If we opt to do something simple and straightforward, we will never come to know our capability. Elon says choosing hard things in life is the key to awaken our intelligence, and otherwise we live a life which is boring and unfilled. Thus, most of the people never think out of the box, which separates us from other living beings.

I strongly believe leadership is like teaching, where words, actions and character of a leader teaches us to take strong decisions in life and Mr. Musk with portraying any strong philosphy teaches everyone to leave their comfort zone as soon as possible. His attribute to think 10 years ahead than now is what makes him a strong visionary.

Dalai Lama

Human rights, values, path towards peace, harmony and self-discipline are the major teachings of

Dalai Lama, the 14th spiritual leader of buddhists. He was set to exile after China acquired Tibet. After years and years of opression from China, he and his followers came to India. 

Dalai Lama after facing these hardships always preached of peace and followed the path of righteousness. His leadership values include Non-violence, spreading peace, welfare and unity among the people. It is for this he recieved noble price for peace in the year 1989.

He is on my list number 3 because, his leadership characteristics are:

Sympathy, compassion and forgiveness

Advocating peaceful solutions based on mutual respect

Purpose of life is happiness

Oppose violence etc..

Dalai Lama's leadership philosphy is solely based on happiness and believes the ultimate goal of life is to establish liveliness, peacefulness and brotherhood in the world. He says that refraining from the all the intoxicants that cloud our mind gives us true freedom.
